QuickPay Corp. raised $5.5 million funding

Mobile parking payment solution provider, QuickPay, has raised $5.5 million funding from Fontinalis Partners, Ecomobilite Ventures and IncWell.  The new funding is aimed to increase the base of company across more cities in United States.  

QuickPay was founded in 2010 with a vision to leverage trends in mobile technology to remove the atrocities of finding, paying and accessing parking space across States. The unique mobile application provides its users the facility for finding, paying, opening parking gates via their mobile phone.  Same application works for parking owners in the reverse manner as it let them access the details of parking space more efficiently.  Prior to this QuickPay has received $3.5 million in seed funding.  

As per company management smart parking is a segment of nest generation mobility solutions.  Moreover the internal investors are too happy with QuickPay's success till date.  QuickPay has recently announced the partnership with ABM parking services which operates 2000 parking location across United States.  Apart from this company has also partnered with Impart, which is a leading provider of parking space across Canada.

Glassdoor gets another VC funding of $50 million: Recruiting and job analytic is here to stay

California based career and recruitment website Glassdoor has raised $50 million led by Tiger Global Management apart from other investment funds.  This leads to total funding raised by glassdoor to $93 million.  Company is expecting to use this money for more deeper international expansion and increase its human resource base.

Glassdoor is a free job and career community that apart from regular online recruitment services also offers the outside world a peek into the companies, job profile's information and work place statistics.  Company was founded in 2008. It allows anonymous posts regarding reviews for any particular company and/or profile, salary, work-environment and so.  Company uses its proprietary technology JobScope. Glassdoor, since its launch, has received several applauds as well as infamy for its inside view of companies and their environment by letting employees anonymously rate the company, disclose and discuss salary structures and so.

The latest round through which company raised $50 million, was led by Tiger Global Management and Dragoneer Investment Group apart from internal investors Battery Ventures, Benchmark, DAG Ventures and Shutter hill ventures. As of now company has 22 million registered members from 190 countries.  Company will use this money for more deeper international expansion (as it already has wider penetration in 190 countries) and increase its employee base to 300 from current levels of 200.  Company is also planning to leverage the use of social technology and increased use of tablets and mobiles for enhancement of its technology and marketability.

CARD.com raises $3 million in Series A round of funding

Card.com, Los Angles based prepaid debit card provider, has recently raised $3 million in Series A round of funding led by QED Investors.  This funding will be used to move further with company's move to make traditional banking obsolete and have fun in mobile banking.  It is a move towards providing more customization such as user uploaded art for debit card and other popular brand and cause-based theme.

Card.com is headed and co-founded by Ben Katz and is poised to provide mobile alternative to traditional banking.  Apart from this, company also provides customizable prepaid debit card that can be used across all VISA enabled merchant outlets and POS.  Moreover they can be used at more than 20,000+ ATM's across the country.  Company is providing money management alternative and is revolutionizing personal finance by creating such fun loving financial products.  Company also provides i-phone app and android app that can be used for free direct deposit and check deposit.

Card.com's latest funding was led by QED Investors apart from internal investors Resolute Ventures and Anthem Ventures.  Company has now raised a total of $4.7 million from investors.  

With increasing trend towards prepaid card and companies like American Express, Wal-mart launching their prepaid card, Card.com has a long list of big competitors to tackle from.  These prepaid card, unlike gift cards, have fully featured security features giving customers hassle free experience of shopping.  Card.com is also providing its cards as FDIC insured cards.  Cash can be loaded via paypal, western union and such.  This is a unique experience that company is trying to create.!!!
